Why I am loving my iPhone

Now I have been using my iPhone for a couple of weeks, I thought it would share with you some of the reasons that I think it is a great device.

1) The email is great - I have both my personal and work email set up and with 15 minute checking it is essentially like push email. Unlike my Blackberry, it supports html mail, so emails look just like they do on my laptop and when you view and attached pdf, it looks like it should.  Since I started using the iPhone, I have hardly touched my Blackberry (sorry RIM!)

2) Conversational SMS - this is the way messaging needs to evolve, the sms application in the iPhone provides and IM like experience, where you see a thread of the messages you have sent and received to a particular contact.

3) Visual voicemail - finally a user friendly voicemail system, instead of having to sit listening to a large number of messages to get to the one you want or listening to the whole message over and over again to capture the phone number, visual voicemail provides a list of messages and enables you to play them, rewind them etc..

4) Seamless wifi access - I love the fact that when I am at home or in my office the iPhone seamlessly connects to the wifi network and when I go outside it connects to the mobile network.

5) Great browser - the Safari browser, combined with the seamless wifi access makes it a great laptop alternative in the home, when you want to access the web but can't be bothered to boot up the laptop.

6) User interface - awesome and revolutionary

7) Photos - my iPhone is synced to the "Last 12 months" folder in iPhoto on my Mac - +1700 photos and my fingertips and so easy to set up.

Clearly there are a ton of other features that are also great, including the iPod and iTunes store and I expect the device to get even better when Apple open it up to developers.
